Macclesfield Top Water,February 2007

[picture063 image]

Access to the top pool is further up the path after climbing 25 steps which can be somewhat difficult for our older members who are advised to access this site by the field to the left of the public footpath. At the top of the steps on the left is a metal gate. Fishing is almost exclusively to the left of the gate. This side of the pool is capable of supporting four pegs, more pegs are available of the far side of the Pool(north side) with care. There has already been some criticism of this water, some are saying that there is only pike in it. This is possibly the highest of our waters and probably our coldest, give it chance and make a decision when it warms up.

Pike and bream are present in this pool.
