Kruger

This is the shortest and hardest to find of the six stretches on the Goyt.If you are proceeding from New Mills to Marple you will pass the purpose built road to Kruger Inc. a Canadian pulp and paper multinational. on the left. You will then pass over a bridge and approximately after 200 metres immediately on the left there is a small lay-by marked by four small posts which you can see in the picture below. The car is immediately opposite the entrance to the bridleway which is also signposted. Proceed up this bridleway, the left hand side is fenced. You will eventually come to a style which is in fact two perpendicular stones. The fishing rights extend from this point to the Kruger Bridge.Access to the fishing is limited but there are reports that some reasonably sized fish lurk here.
